Last week-end, automn really began in France. Saturday morning was rather sunny. Micaela and I went to the Saint-Michel area to run some errands. We walked from Chatelet to Odéon, and back. Then we quickly went to rue de Rome near Saint-Lazare. Rue de Rome is known for its luthier workshops and music bookshops. We bought the books Felicia will need this year for her music class. We came back home a late. Lisa was expecting my return to ask me a specific question...

These few weeks in Paris before going back to school were very intense. I felt an urge to visit as many places as we could. We visited Le Louvre, we went to La Sainte-Chapelle as Claire told us that it was wonderful to see the light through the stained glass windows, we visited the Musée Bourdelle (a very nice place for a calm moment in Paris) and one morning I suggested that we could go to the Tour Eiffel. The girls were a little bit tired of this Paris craziness, but Alice, Lisa’s friend who was we us for the day, was on my side.
Be ready for an escape, today’s episode takes you to the Tour Eiffel!

On a Friday evening of August, Micaela and I met my friend Claire for a walk in the Quartier Latin. Claire is a student, she studied Middle Ages at the Sorbonne, and she is now studying paleography at the prestigious Ecole des Chartes in Paris. We started our walk on the Ile de la Cité. We saw Notre-Dame, La Sainte-Chapelle, Le musée de Cluny and La Sorbonne. Today’s episode takes place in rue Soufflot. Who was Jacques-Germain Soufflot? This is what you are going to discover, among other facts, in today’s episode.

We came back from our holidays in Jura. Micaela left two days later to spend a week with a friend of hers in Montélimar. Felicia, Lisa and I went to Louvre during that week. We were with my friend France and her daughter Maya. Maya is found of Egyptian Antiquities. After spending almost two hours in the Egyptian section, I suggested that we could say hello to La Joconde. This what you are going to listen today’s episode.
